![]() It comes attached to the hat bullion backing with very nice branches (appear to be oak). Example offered here is the larger (1.8mm x 3.1mm) type obviously worn on the hat. Apparently available in 3 sizes (on service cap pin on tunic and small pin on civil dress). Our reference book ("Lietuvos Ordinai, Medaliai ir Zenkleliai 1918-19140" by Algimantas Astikas, page 355) shows this particular insignia and lists these as issued since about 1932. This winged styled badge features all aspects of the transportation: wings, anchor and railroad. Any Lithuanian badges/insignia of the pre War period are rare. Lithuanian insignia worn by the personnel of the Ministry of Transportation sanctioned services. Original ribbon lightly faded, original clasp with pin present. However, it took the US 48 years to approve acceptance of the Medal. Most nations participating in Korean War approved their troops to accept the medal immediately. ![]() ![]() Some earlier pieces had enamelled disk to the ribbon. There were a few types of the award this is the late 1950's issue in matte bronze. All who participated were eligible for this what's officially called '6.25 Incident Participation Medal' (June 25th 1950). Korea - Republic, Korean War Service Medal. Center disk slightly loose but still firmly in place. Very good condition, getting hard to find. This mark was in use around 1960's-1980's. Marked to suspension eye with 800 (silver fineness) and ABS (Arthus Bertrand). Very nicely designed with red, white, blue, green and pearlescent white enamels. Also, few superficial chips to white enamel on center's ribband of reverse. Slight chip to blue enamel (right side of the eagle. Floral wreath is beautifully contoured to fit enamelled arms of the cross. Republican issue, possibly for War against Iran. Order of Al Rafidain (Order of Two Rivers) 5th class with Swords. 'Eesti Teenetemargid by Hannes Walter, page 275. Design is identical but quality not as good (especially blue lions on the eagle's shield). Note these were reinstituted in 1991 and many are sold as old originals. All were reportedly made by R.Tavast in Talinn. Unmarked (this is normal for this award). Another variation is known with reddish bronze-gilt and smaller eagle, longer sword. Center eagle dimensions: 17mm wide, 15.5mm high. Enamels in very good condition, few tiny chips (arm tips and a pin chip on the right arm) and line crack (not chipped) to reverse center disk. All original silver (eagle) and bronze gilt. 1st (neck badge) is of utmost rarity, 2nd (breast badge with rosette) is very rare and a 3rd class like one offered here. After the 'conversion' of the Order from semi-official decoration into a governmental one on 19th June 1929, the White Cross was awarded to members of the Defence League only. Awarded for deeds during the War of Liberation. Item # Misc-6 (58)Įstonian Order of The Cross of the Eagle- White Cross 3rd Class. Silvered bronze, original safety-pin type fastener. Same system of awards was re-established in 1997. Interesting is fact that Estonian Fire Service diligence awards were the ONLY decorations of Estonian Republic allowed during German occupation (1941-1944). Medal was awarded for minimum 5 years of service, also for merit and distinguished service (if serving less then 5 years). Original ribbon lightly soiled, attractive design. Item # Misc-109 *SOLD*Įstonia, 1923-44 Diligence decoration of the Fire Service silver medal. Few light marks to ribbon (most likely of Swiss manufacture). Maker marked: Timus (this was the local firm of A.Timus). The Commemorative Medal of the Estonian War of Liberation (Vabadussoja Malestusmedal haavatulindiga). Worn condition but quite reasonable piece. Bronze suspension with original ribbon and safety type pin (proper). Gilt and enamel (flake to left arm of star) centre disk mounted upon silver (plated) star which in turn is mounted upon gilt star. Awarded to members of armed forces participating in war. Bronze with red, blue, yellow and green lacquers. Issued to all participating in the campaign. Liberation of Manchuria commemorative 1948 medal. Complete with all original pin/hinge/hook/side catches assembly. Few slight enamel repairs (tips of white). Massive star of fine quality and multiple parts construction. Type one as originally awarded, circa 1910-1930 (inscription was changed to 'Al Merito' vs 'Del Merito'). Chilean Order of Merit, (Chile Orden Del Merito) Grand Cross breast star in silver gilt/bronze gilt.
